CONTEXT [STUDIO PROJECT]
CHAPBOOK is a poetry book, an anthology of stories and exchanges – a collection of diverse flowers, each one drawn from the mosaic of our shared human experience. It offers a place to pause, reflect, and gather mementos along the way.
The resulting form is inspired by the long-standing tradition of street literature where small booklets, called “chapbooks”, served as a way to spread new ideas and perspectives within local communities. These publications made literature and ways of thinking more accessible to the public, and this book continues in that spirit.
Made by hand with carefully sourced washi paper from Japan, these booklets were sold in limited quantities at Untitled Echo Park.
